Vor 50 Jahren baute Star-Architekt Ricardo Bofill, der damals noch ein Unbekannter war, das Gebäude Muralla Roja in Calpe. Heute ist der einzigartige, verschachtelte Komplex weltberühmt und dient nicht selten als Kulisse für Werbespots oder Musikvideos. Auch die Treppen der Netflix-Serie „Squid Game“ ähneln denen der Muralla Roja zum Verwechseln - spätestens seit dem Welterfolg der Serie ist das architektonische Schmuckstück von Calpe in aller Munde.
